This is the first time that a crypto project is involved in powerboat racing! $DARC and Konstellation were represented last year at the 2 races of the French championship in 2021. What is powerboat? The boats in this category weigh 360kg and have 60hp. These boats can go up to 130 km/h which is more than any other regular boats on earth. The F1 can go up to 220 km/h. In term of race format, the endurance races are either 24 hours or 2x6 hours. The sprint races are around 20 laps which take 25–30 min to complete in total.
What’s next with the sponsorship?
The first partnership was for a year, and due to uncertainty of race dates in 2022, the next steps are unknown. However, the Konstellation team will explore additional opportunities as they become available! There are bigger categories and other championship series that will be explored as well. There is also a new full electric championship (E1 series) created by the same founders of Formula E. The championship’s first year will be in 2023 or 2024 and we are looking at it with races all over the world ( Italy, China, Brazil, India, USA, and more!)
