DarcWallet Beta Development Update: Previewing the DARCwallet
As part of the NEM ecosystem for the past year-plus, we’ve heard our community’s complaints about the limitations of the standard-issue NEM wallets available for download. Though we have accustomed ourselves to how the NanoWallet (now officially called NEM Wallet) works, there still remain issues with the user experience design, lack of customer support, and general absence of aesthetics.
Well, folks, we are here to tell you today… We hear you!
Konstellation is proud to introduce the DARCwallet…
We are happy to reveal some of the details of our upcoming DARCwallet — your window into the world of DARC. In the future, users will be to able to interact with the DarcMatter fund marketplace and other service offerings within the Konstellation Network directly from inside the wallet. They will be able to spend, stake, and store their DARC all in a secure, user-friendly environment.
In its early stages, the DARCwallet will only support transactions made with the DARC mosaic token. However, we plan to integrate other NEM-based mosaic tokens including the flagship XEM, a cryptocurrency that has the market cap of $380 million. Further down the road map, we plan to support the storage of security tokens as well as digital assets based on other blockchains. There will be updates made to the road map and shared to the community in the near future.
For security purposes, the beta version will begin as a PC-based client application and will be expanded to support other browsers, operating systems, and devices — Chrome/Firefox, Windows/Mac OS/Linux, Android/OS X are all in the pipeline for now.
